Fiddle-fiddle-dee.

In the walls of my apartment, hidden away where no one can see or go, there lives a Gnome. I don't know how long he has spent roaming the cracks and secret places of my ten storey building - all I know is that he is there.

He's a harmless old Gnome, no name, no family, no real purpose. He sports bright blue leggings with a bib that covers his chest, which in turn is clothed in a vibrant yellow tunic with three wooden buttons at the neck. He plays the fiddle and whistles to himself late in the night when everyone is safe, sound, and tucked away.

Fiddle-fiddle-dee-diddle-dee-diddle do...

ya. The neighbors really oughta turn down their folk music. Its embarrassing. O_o

Magical Shades (or the return of the Gnomes).

So I got this pair of sunglasses, they aren't anything special and probably cost me around 20 bucks. If you read this particular blog post it is in fact the pair of sunglasses I am referring to.

Anyways, I am sad to report that not long after I found those sunglasses I did indeed manage to lose them again. Over time I came to grips with my sorrow and moved on to another pair of shades. I have now had these new sunglasses for quite some time and they have treated me well and more or less erased the pain of loss in the older pair.

So I'm finishing off my shift at the hospital the other day. It was a bright afternoon and I was strolling out the big double sliding doors into the sunlight and naturally reached back for my sunglasses. I slid them out of their little protective bag that I keep them in and slid them onto my face. They were broken! Or, I guess they just felt weird. Panic set in...not a broken pair of sunglasses - not when I needed them most! Taking them off for a closer inspection I held my breath and prepared myself for the worst - summoning my courage I looked down at them and crossed my fingers that they were fixable.

They weren't broken at all.

They were in fact a different pair of sunglasses. They were the pair that I had lost months back - the pair that I blogged about over a year ago.

Some how after almost half a year they magically reappear right there in my backpack. The new pair that I bought to replace them and grown to love are now nowhere to be found.

I think I'm losing my mind. Or...I have haunted sunglasses. Either way - someone hold me.

FreeTheGnomes!

Apparently a revolution is at hand...

"Thousands of Gnomes are enslaved in Gardens across
America. For too long we have let our neighbors usurp the rights of these gentle woodland creatures."

You can help out HERE.

Adger: The beginning adventures of a Gnome Warlock.

The trees were quiet, the wind was lazy and the smoke from the campfire wound its way slowly up into the starry night sky. Amber red coals under the fires cook pot glowed ominously and reflected flickering shadows upon the tall pines that circled around the hastily made camp.

There by the fire sat a cloaked gnome, his eyes staring into the pot of stew as it bubbled and turned from the heat of the fire blazing below. Lost in thought the Gnome lazily puffed upon his pipe sending tendrils of tobacco smoke into the frosty air. Adger was a Warlock, his path was a lonely one and more often then not he traveled alone. But here on the snow swept slopes of Coldridge Valley Adger felt at peace. This was his home, and although many enemies and beasts lurked in the darkness of the wood Adger knew the power that he now controlled was more then enough to keep him safe.

The continent of Dun Morogh was covered in snowy peaks and deep frostbitten valleys, its bitter winds were a stark contrast to the neighbouring lands in the Eastern Kingdoms. It was here that Adger began his journey as a Warlock, and since then he had traveled many places in the Eastern Kingdoms seeking power and experience in the dark craft that guided his steps. Every so often though Adger felt the need to come home, he took solace in the pine tress that dotted the hills and bordered the frozen lakes...he loved nothing more then smoking his pipe and reflecting on his adventures as a bubbling stew cooked upon his simple fire.

Sadly our Warlocks life was not often like this, while times of peace are a welcomed thing Adger's true love is the heat of battle and the call to travel the lands...to study its mysteries and to unlock its dark secrets. Adger is ambitous in the dark arts, his power in Demonology, Affliction, and Destruction grow every day and his eyes are always set ahead on future prospects of bringing him that one step closer to being a master Warlock...the most powerful Gnome to walk the face of Azeroth!

But for tonite join the fire, enjoy a pipe, and share some of Adger's stew, for times of rest are few and far between in this Gnomes life.
