Full throttle.

I am now in my new place full time and things are starting to feel a little bit more normal.  Got some furniture, got my internet and the Xbox is back in full effect.  Still, living here is more akin to camping then it is to living in an apartment.  There's just so much to do and buy and decorate and...wow.  Oh well...it'll come together.

I have been sick for the past three days, I took the last two of those days and bunkered myself behind locked doors and have just been resting.  Which really is just my way of saying that I haven't been doing anything cept for playing vids.

But hey, can you blame me!  I have been without for far to long.  Its been wonderful.  Over the last 48 hours I have been an immortal mercenary trying to reclaim fragments from his past, a deep space mechanic trapped aboard an abandoned space station infested with some kind of mutant alien species, and a deadly ninja assassin on a quest to stop global devastation from a rival clan of evil fucked up brood like warriors.

Who else can say this is how the week started off for them!

This is YAY!

The downside is I have to be at my new place at 11am tomorrow and hang out there until 3.  That's the window of delivery they have given me.  See, I'm not living there yet.  I have possession - but the place is empty cept for a few things I have brought in.

Oh well.  That's what hand held gaming is for I suppose.

Sucks though cuz now I have to wake up at half past nine and go for a 40 minute walk in -40 temperatures tomorrow morning.

To soft, to hard, to small, to big...

I bounced on many couches today...and by the gods I think I found a set I like.

Praise Jebus that ordeal is over with.

Next up: Finding a new duvet.

A new home for me!

I got the phone call this morning.  I have been approved for my new apartment.

This is good, right?

If you haven't quite caught on yet...yes I am leasing out a new apartment...so...no...I wont be going overseas anymore.

why am I not going overseas?

The answer to that question is far to complicated for me to want to really get into.

It's. Just. Not. The. Right. Choice.

At least for now.

Sooooo...YAY!  New apartment.

I'm a little wary of my new digs!  I have had better places, or at the least, places that I felt better about from the get go.  It is super duper close to work which is a huge plus.  The balcony is freaking enormous which is another plus...and....well...that's about it really.

I'm sure I will be feeling more optimistic about it once I get in there.

i guess i am just second guessing myself a lot.  Its not the cheapest place, and the people I am staying with right now want me to stay here and will charge me less than half the price of what I will be paying at my new pad.  However where I am now is just sooooo far from work...and there is zero privacy.

I really hope I am not making a big mistake.

I am going to look at two different apartments today!

*crosses fingers*

They are both in the same building, right downtown, nice and close to work.

I hate downtown, and I hate hi-rises, but not owning a car one just cant beat the convenience of living centrally.

I'm not crazy about the price of the rent...but for what I want in an apartment you cant really get anything downtown for cheaper.
