Lumines...

I have fallen in love with my Sony PSP.

I don't care if people don't appreciate that love...Or understand my affection for this wonderful toy. It matters little to me that they cant understand this deep wrought relationship I am developing...Or that they think it silly.

My love is mine to give...And this electronic enema of joy is as worthy if not more worthy then anything else out there presently.

The game is Lumines.

It has captured my soul. Every free second I have I am transfixed with the shiny little boxes that drop from the heavens. I am absorbed by the tiny electronic beat that pulses in my head and traps my attentions so wonderfully. With the lights turned off I snug up in my bed, sheets tucked to my chin and I sit there and allow my very being to fly with the colorful boxes of Lumines.

Anything else would be a waste of time.

The Sony Playstation Portable is now (after months of waiting) Miiiiine!

Mwahahahaha....

Course I dont have any games or movies yet...hell I dont even have a USB cable to get the updates and downloads, but that can come tomorrow.

The fact remains that I now have one. This hot little sucker is mine! Mine I say Miiiiiiine....

My mommy bought it for my birfday. :P

PSP

Sony's Playstation portable (PSP) came out onto the market a week ago or so now. I always knew that it would be cool...But honestly I was questioning if I really needed to own one for myself or not. The thing is pretty damn expensive...And its not like I have a shortage of games to play already. Still after taking a nice long, close look at one today I have to say that every fiber in my being is shouting out for me to go and get one of these suckers.

Its easily one of the shiniest, coolest, electronic geek toys that I have seen in a long long time, and holding it in my hands was very much like feeling up a rainbow.

I must make it mine!

God Of War.

I am a jaded gamer. At thirty years old I have been playing games for quite some time, and in turn have played a lot of shitty games for quite some time, so when I find a game to get excited about...Well, I get really excited.

God Of War is definitely a game to get excited about!

One second I found myself clamoring over a sinking ships bow, and then the next thing I know I am up in the crows nest battling a three headed hydra!
The game makes use of every facet of Greek mythology available. After I fought medusa I was able to take her severed head with me and can now freeze enemies by bringing it out of the bag. It seems every time I turn a corner new and more powerful enemies are waiting to introduce themselves to me.

This is the first example I have really seen of what an adult content game can do. The violence is incredibly gory and in the opening act of the second level you are treated to not just one set of boobies...But two. :P

Amazing graphics, with beautiful CGI cut scenes, the gameplay is fast and furious, and even though you have virtually no control over the camera things seem to play out pretty well. This is definitely a game that every PS2 owner should get.

Out of ten I would easily give this game a 9.7! And I havent even passed the third stage yet. :P
