Splinter Cell: Conviction.

I feel safe in saying that the Tom Clancy Splinter Cell franchise ranks up there as one of my all time favorite gaming experiences. Well, Ubisoft is back with the next chapter of Sam Fishers life, this time with Splinter Cell: Conviction.

Stealth has always been a major proponent to this particular series, and it looks like this time around the big thing is that the majority of the game takes place outdoors in broad daylight in vast open areas. The key to successfully going unnoticed, apparently, will be to blend in with your surroundings and looking like any other ordinary civilian. From what I can tell...gone are the night vision goggles, and on comes a more ordinary looking garb for a more ordinary looking man.

I don't really know any more then that. I'm sure over the coming months Ubi Soft will allow details of the game to slowly leak out, and you can bet that I will be here foaming at the mouth over them! We've played Sam as a killer spy bad ass mother fucker, we've played him as a double agent that needs to make some pretty tough kick you in the ass decisions, and now we get to play him as a fugitive on the run with no back up of any kind.

Check out Sam's Killer civi look in this new chapter...

Splinter Cell: Double Agent.

Picked up the latest game in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell franchise, Double Agent.

This is the fourth game in the series, and holy hell its great to be back snapping necks and stealth killing my way through levels. I havent yet touched the multi-player aspect of the game (and really it was the XBox Live content that made these games so damn spectacular in the past) but the single player is a solid enough experience all on its own.

Sam Fisher is such a bad ass.

*hearts Sam Fisher*

Fisher aint exactly the perfect poster boy role model this time around, and I am very eager to see where the story line is going to take me.

On a separate un-related note...Lumines Live hit XBox Arcade today.

Casino Royale.

I have to admit that I was never really all that excited to see Daniel Craig as the new James Bond in Casino Royale. My parents were HUGE fans of the old school Bond films so naturally I grew up watching them. The later films though with Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan didn't do anything for me, they seemed bloated with Hollywood and missed the charisma that Moore and Connery portrayed so well.

Last night at midnight the trailer for Casino Royale was released online, and I gotta say that it really has the flavour of the old films. Its got me excited - and by the gods it looks like they may finally have a new GOOD Bond film on their hands. Something that is all its own - but at the same time properly captures that James Bond feeling. Time will tell I suppose.

Well...not the Robocop, but Peter Wellers...the actor! He was in the film Leviathan as well, one of those cool underwater monster, beat the shit outta scientist movies!

Anyways, I just wanted to express my delight at having Robocop in one of my TV shows....especially since i didnt know it was going to happen...so total treat, eh!
