"This Halloween, Star Wars publishing goes someplace very new and very scary, with the release of the first Star Wars horror novel, Deathtroopers, by Joe Schreiber.

Deathtroopers is currently slated for an October 27, 2009 paperback release from Del Rey Books."

I gotta admit, the idea of a horror novel set in this universe tickles the very inner core of my geeky love for all things Star Wars.

Star Wars Animated: Tales Of The New Republic.

Darth Vader Hot Air Balloon.

Robot Chicken Star Wars trailer.

If for some reason you haven't already seen the clip that Robot Chicken did awhile back on Star Wars then go ahead and click here and check it out.

Anyways, turns out George and company saw that clip and thought it was pretty damn funny. After a bit of negotiation we end with Robot Chicken airing a full dedicated Star Wars special on the 17 of June. Check the trailer below.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

Lucas Arts has a new Star Wars game on the horizon that has me pretty excited...

"The lead character, an as-yet unnamed, young go-getter, has been sought out and trained by Darth Vader himself in the years following the end of Episode III. The young man has a knack for the Force and a dark slant to his attitude - making for a less-than-typical lead character for a Star Wars title.

The plot thread follows Vader's hopes to bump off anyone standing between him and his rightful place on the cushy throne as supreme ruler of the universe. As his apprentice, the player is a tool to be used to exert Vader's commands. You'll act as an agent for the dark side, bumping off the remaining Jedi and unleashing hell with the Force. In the process, you'll take advantage of four core powers - Force grip, lightning, push and repulse. Our understanding is that the more you combine and experiment with these powers, the more experience you'll receive and the stronger they become."

Whats got me really excited for this game (besides it being a new kick ass Star Wars experience) is a nifty new little thing called 'The Euphoria Engine'. It seems to add a whole new level of play to enemy A.I. that I am in no way capable of describing. Take a look at some tech demos of what has me so interested here. Could be cool. Lucas Arts will also be using this technology in their upcoming Indiana Jones game.

Worth 1000.com is having (had) a celebrity/star wars contest. Some OK entries I guess...but the Gollum/Yoda pic really cracked me up.

A Wizard a Rancor and a Bong -- oh my!

I bought a new bong yesterday, and it smokes like a demon! I've always used smaller mid-size bongs before...so this time I decided to buy a long neck big daddy! So far I'm loving it, and its a welcome addition to the family.

For size reference I've added a Wizard and a Rancor. Obviously its big if it towers over those mighty power horses. :P

Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy.

I picked this game up today and I am totally loving it!

I didn't play briefly played the first game for the X-Box back when it came out...but this one being centered on the original trilogy rather then the new movies strikes a far stronger nostalgic cord in me - and thus relates to a much better gaming experience!

The only real complaint I have so far is the lack of camera control. Other then that the mix of puzzle solving, action, and humor all blend together perfectly. Great cinema clips push the story along and I cant help but chuckle out loud at the plethora of sight gags and slap stick comedy that pop up throughout the adventure. There are tons of hidden away goodies to be discovered - and the re-play value of levels is incredibly high as you can unlock more secrets as you uncover playable characters that you can add yo your party!

I love it when they do a Star Wars game right. :)
