I have cable TV.

A voice over the phone asked if I was interested in a free trial month of their digital cable TV service.  I said that I was not...but that I was, however, interested in TWO free months of their digital cable TV service.

A pause.

A slightly confused voice ask that I be put on hold for one second, and after a brief interlude of some accordion band playing their version of Californication by the Red Hot Chili Peppers the voice returned and said that they would be more then happy to extend a two month free trial to me.

Joy.

I haven't had any shape or form of cable TV in prolly about 3 years!

Food Network here I come!

Did anyone else catch the premiere of Joss Whedon's new television series last night?

It sure aint no Firefly!  O_o

I guess its not fair to judge a show by one episode is it?  still, I mean cmon, this is the guy that kicked off Ultimate X-Men and brought us Dr. Horrible`s Sing-Along Blog!  Have I mentioned Firefly?  Its not that the premiere episode was terrible or anything, it just felt really MTV pop.

The concept is great, and if actress Eliza Dushku can pull out the chops to play a different kind of character every single episode then things could turn out swimmingly!

Meh.  I would have preferred more Firefly.  But I`m old and jaded and hate the world.

I was a little leary with the first two episodes...but as of now I am 100 percent satisfied in exclaiming my joy in having Jack Bauer back in action!!

Stargate: Continuum teaser.

Wizards First Rule and Disney-ABC.

Production began this month on Sam Raimi's 22 episode run of Terry Goodkind's novel, Wizards First Rule, the first book in a series entitled, The Sword Of Truth.

I'm a big Sword Of Truth fan. The first shwack of books were GREAT! I will admit that later in the series Goodkind becomes bogged down with his own personal agendas, and the story becomes a little to preachy for my tastes, but overall, I'd have to say that, yes, I am a fan.



Anyways...casting.



Richard Cypher, the main character of our story will be played by, Craig Horner. Opposite Richard is of course our heroine, Kahlan, who will be played by actress, Bridget Regan.

Any of you Sword Of Truth fans? What do ya think of the casting for Richard and Kahlan? It will be interesting to watch the details on all of this as they come out.

I just sold my Wii. Last Sunday Oy went to his new home. Tomorrow I sell my PS3.

WTF is happening? My head is spinning!!

End of the month I lose Loki and my 360.

I'll also lose my LCD T.V. my sectional and my bookcases.

Yesterday I went roller blading for the first time this year. Torte girl and I drove out to the park and tooled around. Not gonna lie...theres nothing like smoking a doob and going for a skate. To glide, ahhhhhhh to glide.

On a slightly related note, yesterday I also walked around barefoot outside for the fist time this year. What a great feeling. Love it love it love it.

Update on my straight blade situation. So the girlie that I had checking into it for me found what I needed. 14 bucks for the handle and case thingie, and then 75 cents a pop for blades.

Wow.

What a difference in price. Right now a razor is like 20-25 bucks and replacement blades can be as expensive as 30 bucks. I just hope I don't tear the shit outta my face with this straight blade get up.

In about two weeks I am going to be able to go on a clothes shopping spree and drop around 7-800 dollars!! Suuuuuper stoked for that. Brand new wardrobe! I need clothes badly...like bad badly. I went out and did a little scouting at the stores I wanted to spend money upon and I'm pretty happy to get some new duds.

Speaking of...things are spinning outta control quickly with all the crap I need to buy to begin my little adventures. I have till June 6th to get everything I need. Clothes being on the top of that list.

What else?

You know what I have discovered I am most excited about traveling?

Food.

I want to eat everything everywhere I go. I cant stop thinking about it. I think I might even start up a side blog talking about all the food I am going to try. There isn't really any kind of food that I don't like. Sure I have preferences in taste and what not - but I don't think there is anything that I wont at least try.

'Cept for pets. I don't eat pets.

Anyways...thats enough. I'm off to watch the third episode of the new Hell's Kitchen.

I like laughing at them when they burn the scallops...

Starbursting into Farscape.

Farscape was, and is, one of my all time favorite Science Fiction television shows. Last night I began with episode 01 of season 01 and I have to say that I am pretty excited to begin my second journey through this wonderful adventure.

So expect many Farscape posts and quotes in the coming days ahead. So expect many musings, fantasies, and dreams of sexual exploits involving (and/or between) Peace Keeper Aeryn Sun and Pa'u Zotoh Zhaan, the serene blue Delvian priestess.

I liked her. Great ending to her run though...it choked me up and I dare say my eyes may have even become a little moist. I can still be manly and say that right?

What a great show, and I still have all of season 3 to watch (which is downloading as we speak). The best part is with season 3 already completed I get the joy of sitting down and watching 3 or 4 episodes in a row per sitting till I am done -- which should be just in time for season 4 to start up in the spring time.

There is just something about this show that grabs me. There are much bigger sci-fi shows out there with larger budgets...and that all fine and dandy, but the wackiness that ensues with the Doctor and his companion is just to irresistible for me to ignore.

Long live the Doctor, and long live the Tardis!
